Plantation forest development is carried out on damaged and unproductive forest areas with the aim of achieving sustainable forest management. The development of plantation forests through the conversion of productive natural forests is a violation of the objectives of sustainable forest management.
This Sustainable Plantation Forest Management System document is a derivative of the LEI Standard 5000 on the Framework for Sustainable Production Forest Management Systems (PHPL).
